ABOUT US
We catch our salmon by driftnet in the pristine waters of Southeast Alaska, a region known globally for having the gold standard for fisheries management.
Our name, Slow Boat Fish Co, was chosen not just because our small boat, the Eyvindr, is the slowest (and most fuel efficient) boat in the fleet, but because we believe in living and fishing a little slower and bringing the highest quality food directly to the people.

OUR FISH
Our fish is sustainably harvested, sashimi-grade, and sourced directly from the fishermen. Every fish is handled and processed with care, so it can stay fresh in your freezer and be enjoyed throughout the year.
Each salmon is immediately bled, dressed, flushed with seawater and iced upon being caught aboard our small driftnet boat. The white fish is line-caught, one fish at a time, by fellow small-boat fishermen in Southeast Alaska. The catch then goes directly from our boats to a locally owned, small-scale processor, where it is hand-filleted, vacuum-sealed, and flash-frozen to preserve its quality and freshness.
. When you choose us as your wild fish supplier, you’re getting a high-quality, traceable product at a great price while supporting local custom processors and sustainable small-boat fisheries.
